History & Offering
SONARAY® LED lighting provides customers all over the world with proprietary, rugged, high-quality, and dependable luminaires, poles, and bracketry.
We research, develop, engineer, manufacture, and market a complete line of lighting fixtures and solutions with most of those fixtures originating from our 2 million square foot manufacturing facility. Our parent company, DASCOM has been in business for more than 35 years and does business in more than 100 countries around the globe. We specialize in lighting for the industrial space, but our product offering is wide, varied, and growing. For example, we are a leader in solar lighting solutions and offer a number of solar fixtures with advanced features including built-in panels and remote operation. We manufacture high temperature high bay lighting for use in areas that reach 200 degrees Fahrenheit. We have a tremendous selection of durable, high-powered LED flood lighting that ranges in power sizes from 30W all the way up to 1000W, and these flood lights are used on world famous, widely recognized infrastructure projects including bridges, ports, and even prominent seafaring vessels including barges and commercial fishing vessels. Our product breadth is strong, including hazardous location fixtures to meet needs in many classes and divisions for hazardous environments. Our line is simply strong across a number of applications.
At SONARAY we also offer a robust Quick Ship Program with many of our fixtures available to ship the same day we receive orders.
Our Americas Headquarters are located in Central Virginia and houses lighting layout, administration, sales, product management, marketing, assembly and warehousing. We provide complementary lighting layouts for our customers and our representation of product line is from some of the most experienced, professional, and trusted manufacturer agents in the lighting industry and accompanying supply houses with national footprint and expertise. These are preeminent agencies with literally hundreds of years of combined experience among their staff. The agencies are known throughout the U.S. and specify lighting for the most important installations in the world, while our distributors are trusted experts who deliver to national accounts, contractors, and important customers who build out the infrastructure of our everyday world be it in our place of work, the bridges and highways we travel, or some of the architecture or attractions we enjoy and admire.
Technology
Our significant technology investment means cost-savings for our customers through consistent high quality products. These products not only lessen electricity usage, providing tangible financial savings, but they also work to preserve vital natural resources for our world since they require reduced re-lamping frequency. This, in turn, reduces carbon footprint and waste. Of course, our lighting also provides the best in chromaticity and clarity. This means literally thousands of industrial and office environments around the globe can see and be seen in a whole new light.

SONARAY is developed using only the best materials, including chip sets primarily produced by Citizen®. This means our products contain the most superior elements for brightness and clarity in the market. We couple this formula with our specialized expertise from world-class engineers who have years of experience in industrial and commercial lighting design and development.
We manufacture our SONARAY lighting in several top shelf production facilities with stringent quality controls and test procedures so our customers get the best product the first time and every time. Being good once can be an accident, but being good all the time is a habit that is achieved through hard work and careful attention to detail. Our manufacturing facilities are world class and our people are skilled, professional, and assertive. Our manufacturing expertise ensures our customers that we understand the difference between quality assurance and quality control, and we practice both accordingly.

Our corporate office is located in Hong Kong, and in addition to our Americas Headquarters located approximately 2 hours South of Washington, D.C., we also maintain global facilities in China, Malaysia, and Germany with many satellite offices scattered throughout strategic hubs around the world.

Our unique, proprietary lighting solutions are found around the globe in some of the most prominent of places, including the historic walking bridge in one of America’s leading cities, and found as our home page image on this website. Of course, we are equally adept at lighting factories, universities, walking trails, shipyards, or virtually anywhere our customers need light.
Our stated mission is to “Create and contribute to a more intelligent and sustainable planet and a better human condition by offering innovative LED lighting solutions.” This is our SONARAY DNA. We seek to bring light to darkness, and to bring real solutions that make a difference.
Detail and Innovation
We believe in detail in all that we do. Even when naming our product, we were seeking to do and be something different. The name SONARAY, whose origin is derived from the Spanish word “soñar” (meaning “to dream”) and the English word “ray” (meaning “a narrow beam of light”) is indicative of the dreams we have to provide our clients with the absolute best in innovative design, quality construction, performance, and savings.

Inventory + Fast, Free Shipping
We also like to think we separate ourselves from many others in our industry by offering real programs that influence the outcomes our customers see and feel. This way of doing business includes things such as keeping a vast inventory of finished products in our Central Virginia warehouse. This cuts down on lead time for our customers and allows us to ship most orders the very same day. In fact, our Quick Ship program is one of the most robust in the industry and includes a variety of fixtures and poles. In addition, we also offer free ground freight with every order in the contiguous U.S.
